"The Karmiel Orchestra" was organized in 1991 in Karmiel, Israel.
Its leader and conductor - Vladimir Shtuckmeister.
There are 10-15 musicians in the orchestra, having a great
experience in concert activity, and tree soloists:
Julia Masti (soprano), Yakov Ferdman (tenor) and
Yana Katzif, singing popular Italian songs,
songs in Russian, English, French, and other languages.
The orchestra is an active participant of different festivals
and contests in Israel and abroad.

The orchestra was given a big hand in the best halls of Europe
(Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Greece and Belarus) and the USA. In 1994
the orchestra won the second place in The International Festival-
Contest in Dijon, France, the first place and the title of the
laureate in The All-Israeli Contest of Orchestral Groups in 2000.
The repertoire of the orchestra is rather varied. It includes
light classical music, jazz, kleismer (Jewish folk) music, and
the music of soviet and foreign composers.
