Was born in Moldova (the former USSR) in 1949. Graduated from the Kishinev Conservatory, violin class.
After graduation worked in Moldova State Philarmonic society, and the Orchestra of Moldova State of Opera and Ballet Theatre. For many years Leonid was a member of the Folk Ansamble "Prietenia", performing in Italy, France, Romania, Poland, Czechoslovakia and all over the Soviet Union.
For 15 years Leonid worked as a violin teachen in the Music School in his hometown Bendery.
Leonid immigrated to Israel in 1991
and in 1992 joined "The Karmiel Orchestra". He participated in all the performances in the country and abroad.
His solo pieces are always a great success.
In 2000 "The Karmiel Orchestra" won the first price in the competition. As an orchestra soloist, Leonid Fiks became the Winner of the Orchestra competition.
